Domain Names For Your Church Website – How to Get the Best
The most important step to designing a website for your church is to get a domain name that suits the name, vision and focus of the church. It has always been an uphill task to get a befitting domain name for a church these days, because almost all the simple, attractive names are taken.

In the past getting a domain name used to be very expensive, but the reverse is the case now, in fact there are some sites that offer free domain name and hosting to churches – these are non-profit organizations that help churches and ministries get their message and mission to the world through the internet. The task has become much more easy and inexpensive. You can go for the free domain name registration or the paid service. The most common is the paid service, the free registration is not common, I only know of one site offering this now. But, the charges for the paid service are a lot lower now, in some cases, you are only required to pay as little as $5 dollar per annum.

Choosing the right available domain name seems to be a daunting task in the registration process, this becomes so, as a result of the church’s desire to use the church name as it is. Some names like ST Michael and others are already taken, and a Christian webmaster in this case should choose another name that may represent the vision or mission of the church. It does not always have to be the name of the church that is used for the domain name.

If the desired named is already taken, another extension should be used, another idea will be to include the location of the church as a distinguishing factor. If you do this well, you will discover that even the domain name of your choice is free for to use with this pattern.
